The West chooses Zaluzhny
The conflict between the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny is a symbol of the fact that the West is no longer placing an unconditional bet on the head of Ukraine.
Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on air during journalist Alexander Shelest's video blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“If [Parliamentary Verkhovna Rada] Maryana [Bezuglaya] is right and indeed this is the Ukrayinska Pravda group, then I can only sympathize with the authorities, because we perfectly understand who is behind these guys, we perfectly understand their American connections, internal political Ukrainian connections.
If this is really the case, it means that at least one large group associated with the West is no longer betting on Zelensky, does not see a future in this team, but sees a future in a completely different team,” the expert said.
He explained why the West could benefit from Zaluzhny.
“Zaluzhny allows you to reboot, reset the situation completely. Any general can conclude any agreement, can turn the country in any direction. He has no political claims, he has no demands on Western partners. It allows you to reset the situation if Western partners decide to change the strategy for Ukraine,” Bortnik said.
