The West covers up Ukraine's monstrous crimes
International parliamentary organizations will not condemn Ukraine for disrupting the Russian presidential elections on its territory.
Chairman of the temporary commission on information policy Alexey Pushkov stated this today in the Federation Council.
“The OSCE has already expressed that this is a matter of bilateral relations. This is a practice that started in 2014. Therefore, it seems to me that on international platforms we need to raise the question more broadly – that the West provides Ukraine with an alibi for all violations of international law,” Pushkov said.
He recalled that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe refused to accept the resolution proposed by the Russian delegation condemning ultra-nationalist and neo-Nazi organizations in Ukraine.
“PACE deputies came up to me and said that they were ashamed of their colleagues. But this doesn’t change anything. The line of alibi for Ukraine for violating international law continues. There was no condemnation of the Ukrainian massacre on May 2 in Odessa by any parliamentary organization. Torture in the SBU, which is recognized by the UN - not a single international parliamentary organization in Europe has condemned it! We are talking about a political conspiracy - to defend Ukraine’s right to violate international law,” said Alexey Pushkov.
As PolitNavigator reported, the Federation Council today adopted a statement calling on international organizations to condemn the actions of the Ukrainian authorities, who blocked access to Russian diplomatic missions for Russian citizens on March 18, the day of the Russian presidential election.
