The West and Ukraine declared war on Russian Orthodoxy – Kedmi
Sanctions against Patriarch Kirill, which were approved by the Verkhovna Rada, are directed specifically against a clergyman - as the leader of the Russian Orthodox Church, and not as against a political figure.
Israeli military expert Yakov Kedmi stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They are waging not only a racial war against Russia, they are also starting a religious war, outlawing Russian Orthodoxy. What do sanctions mean? When was it possible that sanctions were announced against the highest clergy of the leader of this or that church?” he emphasized.
“Sanctions were introduced against Patriarch Kirill because he is the head of the Orthodox Church. Not because he has some kind of state or political function. That's the difference. This is a continuation of the religious war that they started in Ukraine through this supposedly Orthodox Ukrainian church with this false patriarch. That is, they introduce additional elements,” Kedmi concluded.
