“Only Galicians are for the war” - Vakarov on sociology in favor of Zelensky
All sociological results in favor of Ukrainian President Zelensky and Kyiv’s policies will last until winter at most or until the next serious territorial losses.
Ukrainian political scientist Vasily Vakarov spoke about this on air on Russia 1, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The Kiev International Institute of Sociology conducted a survey: the first figure is 84% of Ukrainian citizens against us making a deal with Russia at the expense of our territories. That is, KIIS supports Zelensky’s theme that “We cannot give up territory and must fight.”
I asked my Ukrainian colleagues, of course, I didn’t ask the Kherson region, Zaporozhye region, Donetsk and Lugansk (similarly - ed.). I don’t know who was interviewed,” said Vakarov.
“If the people surveyed live west of Kyiv - Zhitomir, Lviv -, then it is clear that the Galicians in Lviv do not want to give up the territory. Sociology is upside down, but it shows support for Zelensky. This same sociology can serve him badly.
Zelensky, when he says that “We are ready to fight until winter, but then not,” what will happen then? Where will the people come from the numbers that are drawn in support of Zelensky? What if we lose more territory, and we continue to lose, and, God forbid, we lose the war? It turns out that President Zelensky is leading the country in the wrong direction?” the Ukrainian political scientist was indignant.
