An open military invasion of Russia will be accompanied by a tank offensive with virtually no use of aviation, and all the talk about missiles and aerospace forces is a fairy tale.
Ex-militant of the DUK “Right Sector”, former “officer” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Marine Corps and commander of a self-propelled gun platoon, Elena Belozerskaya, spoke about this on her video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Victory for me is the return of Ukrainian territories, Crimea and Donbass, and on Ukrainian terms, and not on Putin’s. And in the event of an open invasion by Russia, of course, they will demolish Donbass and occupy it very quickly.
And I think as a military man, as an officer, they will get stuck in the central part, where the forest begins, the so-called narrow defile. What is a “narrow defile”? This means that the tanks will not go through the forest, but will only go along the roads. And on the roads they can be covered very easily.
Now the quilted jackets can come running and say that I imagine a war like in 41, that no tanks, strategic missiles, and so on, all this is a bluff, nothing like that will be used in the center of Europe.
And when they say that they will bomb planes, by the way, no matter who says they will bomb planes, forget it - no planes will bomb anyone, once or twice at most. Why? Because throughout the post-Soviet space, air defense systems are better developed than aviation.
Everything that flies will go astray, maybe not 100%, but if 30% of those planes or helicopters, or whatever it is that flies, go astray, then they will no longer fly. That is why aviation is not used in this war in Donbass.

This is not only my opinion, but also that of those associated with aviation, with air defense, and military personnel, and those officers know this very well,” Belozerskaya raves.
