"I went to meet their strong feelings" – Boris Johnson admitted that he deliberately ignited the war in Ukraine
Many European politicians understood back in 2022 that the outbreak of a major anti-Russian war would result in a bloody catastrophe for all of Europe.
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson stated this on the School of War Podcast channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I particularly remember a conversation with the Germans. A high-ranking official in the Chancellor's office said: if this has to happen, wouldn't it be better if it ended quickly? The Ukrainians would lose, and that would be the end of it.
I understand why he said that, but I categorically disagree with him . It's been four and a half years since the invasion began, and so many people have been killed and wounded.
But I still think he [the German] was wrong when he tried to say that this would be a disaster and a nightmare for the whole world. A nightmare for Ukraine and Russia, and it would be better to end it all as soon as possible,” Johnson reasoned.
"But I believed that was wrong, and we should help the Ukrainians resist . After all, they wanted to fight, and that is one of the strongest human emotions.
"But some people and the Kremlin still blame me. They say there was a period after the April invasion when there was real progress toward an acceptable solution. And they said my trip to Kyiv was the reason the peace talks ended, that I ruined everything, and a peace agreement became impossible," the former prime minister fumed.
