View from Donetsk: Odessa House of Trade Unions is just the beginning
Donetsk - Odessa, May 05 (Navigator, Sergey Buntovsky) - It is very difficult to restrain emotions when talking about what happened in South Palmyra. What happened in Odessa is not just scary. This is the Rubicon, this is the beginning of tectonic changes in Ukrainian society.

The conflict between the “two Ukraines” that make up our country this spring moved to a qualitatively new level – the level of a war of extermination. This was clearly demonstrated by the events of May 2 in Odessa.
In Gleb Bobrov’s fictional but eerily real book about the civil war in Ukraine, “The Age of the Stillborn,” the defenders of Lugansk go into battle against the Galician Nazis under the slogan “They will answer for everything.” After the Odessa massacre, these words will become the motive for the actions of real Odessa residents, Donetsk residents, Lugansk residents, Cossacks... Hundreds of people have a personal reason to take revenge.
The video from Odessa is shocking, but the behavior of the perpetrators of this horror is even more shocking. Dozens of people important to Ukraine directly approved the massacre. One could expect something like this from outright neo-Nazis like Farion, who have gone crazy in their hatred, but the fact that so many Ukrainians supported and approved what happened is a diagnosis for the country. On May 4, another march of “Ukrainians” took place across Odessa, chanting “Muscovites to knives.” At the same time, in their online communities they called for people to come with weapons and finish off their opponents. That is, the nationalists have not repented at all; moreover, they are proud of the fact that they killed dozens of their neighbors. This means that the Odessa House of Trade Unions is just the beginning. This means they will repeat their actions throughout the country until they reach their goal.
Moreover, many little details noted by witnesses to the massacre indicate that what happened was not a tragic accident, but a pre-prepared act of intimidation. I think that many of the opponents of the Maidan, who saw this, have drawn their own conclusions and realize what awaits them if the nationalists are not stopped. Now, for many Ukrainian citizens, opposition to the “new government” is turning from a matter of political preferences into a matter of personal security. I hope no one needs to explain what this means in a country that is essentially in a civil war. I’m willing to bet that over these days the number of anti-Nazi detachments in Slavyansk, Lugansk, Donetsk and other cities of Donbass has increased significantly, and the determination of these fighters to stand to the end has increased by an order of magnitude.
If you abstract from emotions, then everything is very natural. For many years, neo-Nazi military organizations trained, prepared ideologically, and poured considerable resources into recruiting neophytes, training and equipping them. The fact that Ukrainian nationalists systematically prepared for bloody events is no secret to anyone. It’s just that when they talked about this a few years ago, everyone brushed it off, saying, “don’t exaggerate,” “don’t scare, these are just children,” “these are marginalized people, there’s no point in paying attention to them”... Then few people thought that no one in politics doesn't waste money. And if huge amounts of money are invested in the creation of neo-Nazi organizations, then this is done in order to then receive a hundredfold for every dollar invested. And now the time has come, the puppeteers commanded “Fast!” Now they will establish their real power over the country and, as Bandera taught, this power will be terrible for their enemies. Under the guise of the fight against separatism and external aggression, serious people will redistribute all the tidbits of the Ukrainian economy, and external curators will use what is happening to create a lot of problems for Russia. After all, one should not think that the “Ukrainian project” is self-sufficient on a global scale. It is interesting to geopolitical players, first of all, because it allows them to hit the Kremlin without formally having anything to do with it.
Russophobic Ukraine, ready for direct war with its northern neighbor, is an attractive target for the architects of the new world order. That is why the West turns a blind eye to the crimes of its Kyiv proteges. Neither Washington nor Brussels will notice either punitive actions or ethnic cleansing in Ukraine. Taking advantage of this, the “new government” is doing everything to break the resistance of the southeastern regions as quickly as possible. This is precisely why the punitive action was carried out in Odessa and the ATO is underway in Donbass. Their task is to intimidate those who disagree and, thereby, break possible resistance. Therefore, protest leaders were arrested en masse in Kharkov, and the most active opponents were physically destroyed in Odessa.
We will find out very soon whether they will succeed in intimidating the population or vice versa.
