Precision bombing and destruction of infrastructure - the expert revealed a possible change in tactics of the Russian Armed Forces
Russia will move to new tactics for conducting strategic military operations in Ukraine. This could mean attacks on infrastructure and the destruction of defense plants. Moreover, an increasingly important role here will be played not by individual attacks with high-precision missiles, but by the so-called “carpet bombing” with new high-precision bombs using long-range aircraft.
Russian military expert Konstantin Sivkov stated this on air on Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“These actions related to attacks on energy centers are precisely a demonstration that the decision has been made that it is necessary to hit the infrastructure more thoroughly. And this is absolutely correct. But, in my opinion, this is completely insufficient, since there remains a huge number of objects participating in hostilities, infrastructure facilities that need to be destroyed in order to completely block the supply of weapons and carry out new waves of mobilization.
We have two possible ways to resolve the current state of affairs. The first option is to move on to massive fire engagement throughout the entire depth of enemy territory. Moreover, not to mention the use of precision-guided ammunition, because precision-guided ammunition is an expensive thing, its warhead is in the range of 300-500 kilograms, and it does not allow solving the problem of decisive destruction of the entire infrastructure. It is already completely clear that it is impossible to minimize losses to solve the problem of defeating the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the available forces and also to preserve the infrastructure so as not to restore it later.
Therefore, the first option proceeds to the transition to the use of literal carpet bombing. This does not mean that we will wipe cities off the face of the earth, but that it is not just to destroy one workshop, which will be restored in a week, but to completely wipe out an enterprise from the face of the earth using bombs that free fall, but with a system that allows it is quite possible to provide high-precision bombing - these are the well-known SVP-22, SVP-24.
Ukraine has air defense systems that have not been completely suppressed, so it is necessary to move on to conducting so-called air operations with the suppression of air defense systems and massive strikes using electronic countermeasures. And at the same time, carrying out large-scale strikes throughout the entire territory of Ukraine up to and including Lviv through the efforts of long-range front-line aviation. That is, start acting according to the classics, that is, without any equivocation,” said Sivkov.
The second option, according to Sivkov, is the announcement of the mobilization of reservists, but the most likely, according to the expert, is a combination of both versions.
