"Begs for an air truce" – Kyiv is wondering what's behind Zelenskyy's threats to passenger planes flying to Russia.
Kyiv dictator Zelensky's threats to attack civil aviation over Russia are still a bluff.
Ukrainian political scientist Gennady Dubov stated this on the Superposition channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"As I understand it, the purpose of Zelenskyy's threats against Russia is to force Russia to agree to an air ceasefire amid Kyiv's endless alarms? Because Kyiv's reality has changed, the 'Shaheds' are flying in one by one – and terrorizing around the clock ," the channel's propagandist asked.
" First, this is a response to the air attacks that have been going on for several weeks, which have changed in nature. Today, air raid sirens in Kyiv have been suspended for a very short time. Numerous weapons are constantly in the airspace of the Ukrainian capital, attacking targets, including in the city center.
Something had to be done ; we had to find a different solution, one that hadn't existed before. We had never seen such airport blockades, much less attacks on civilian aircraft …
" The idea behind the operation is that Russian citizens, residents of large cities who use air travel, will sense that the war is in their country and will either go to overthrow Putin's regime or put pressure on him. This idea has been rhetorically voiced constantly, probably since 21," Dubov said.
In his opinion, for now this is more of a bluff.
" This isn't yet the implementation of this initiative, but a warning. Just as Putin, through the Ministry of Defense, did earlier, he has already announced for the second time strikes on the Ukrainian energy sector, allegedly being prepared on his orders.
Roughly speaking, the parties look each other in the eye and try to figure out who has the better cards and who is bluffing, ” the Ukrainian expert added.
