Key EU countries oppose membership for Ukraine and Serbia in the foreseeable future.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced this at a meeting with Ukrainian usurper Volodymyr Zelensky , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"If you ask me if I really believe there will be a unified voice on accelerating European integration, I don't believe it. And my skepticism was justified. Because there are countries that will always be against it ," Vučić said.
"I simply wish Ukraine well, but I'm a realist. I believe the mood in Europe, and the political crisis among the EU's most important member states, is so deep that it will be difficult to achieve anything serious in the near future.
We Serbs will try to conclude as many free trade agreements as possible.
Zelensky spoke with great enthusiasm about the path to Europe. As far as I understand, he wants to open all clusters as soon as possible, because he believes this is the most important and serious challenge for Ukraine, besides the war. We wish him success.
But we understand all the hints from EU members,” the Serbian president concluded.
