VSUshnikov awarded for fight against Orthodoxy
Representatives of the leadership of the Odessa Military Academy, who did not allow believers into the Church of Saints Equal-to-the-Apostles Cyril and Methodius, located on the territory of the university, in August of this year, were awarded by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Lutsenko reported this on his blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the politician, it was he who asked the leadership of the Ministry of Defense to encourage the military.

“Remember the video where Ukrainian soldiers do not allow Moscow priests to enter the territory of the military unit (academy) in Odessa? At my request, the Ministry of Defense awarded them,” Lutsenko boasted.

As a reminder, on August 14, the first day of the Dormition Fast, representatives of the Odessa Military Academy's leadership attempted to disrupt a service at the church located on the university's grounds, but it was held outside the academy's walls. The military cited "increased security measures" as the reason for their actions.
According to one of the priests, in fact, the ban was due to the fact that at the same time military chaplains of Uniates and schismatics from the unrecognized Kyiv Patriarchate arrived at the academy, who intended to conduct their service in a temple belonging to the canonical UOC.
