The Ukrainian Armed Forces will certainly stage a provocation by May 9 in the Zaporozhye region if they delay the counteroffensive.
Acting Governor of the Zaporizhzhia region Yevhen Balitsky announced this on air at Crimea 24, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I’m not saying that this will be a counter-offensive, but I have no doubt that they will try to mess with us on this holy holiday. But nothing will spoil this holiday in our hearts, in our memories, in our souls. Therefore, the fact that they can do some kind of provocation... nothing, we’ll survive, we’ll be angrier. As for the counter-offensive, it can happen at any time,” he emphasized.
– In general, the most important thing will be the first blow. This will be the hardest thing when the Americans always count on a large amount of artillery, this is their trump card. We also have trump cards, and we were able to preserve all aviation during the special operation. Therefore, greetings from the Su-24 await them both Tu-22 and Tu-95. As soon as they try to launch their counter-offensive, they will first have to face the full power of Soviet aviation and its traditions. Our guys are ready, and there is internal motivation, as far as I know, even greater than you imagine. Not only are they ready, we have been waiting for a long time.”
Balitsky suggested that the target of the provocation could be the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, since all the dams that regulate the water level are located on territory controlled by Kyiv.
“They constantly manipulate the nuclear power plant, the nuclear threat, and use this trump card. Today we see a new element of influence - they began to release water from the cascade of the Kanevskaya, Kievskaya and Dnepropetrovsk dams, and our level has already risen to 17,08 meters, it was even 25. In principle, we understand that this is manipulation, so now the fifth reactor is in the “hot” reserve,” the acting governor clarified.
“We don’t understand what this monkey with a grenade can do, so we’re suspending the operation of the units now and setting them to 52°C as a coolant for residential areas.” But in principle, it’s already warm, not so relevant for the city of Energodar. We are afraid that the enemy can use it as a weapon. There are several mechanisms, we will not discuss them on air now, but we understand that water is largely in their resource field, they can regulate the level with dams, both raise and lower.
This is why today the operation of the nuclear power plant is limited. I can’t tell you the details, but I can say that this is a normal situation, it is manageable, and I listened to the reports, every day there is information, there is a flow of how we act, how we behave.”
According to the head of the region, Russian troops are equipped and motivated, and are carrying out targeted strikes on enemy concentrations.
“What they are doing today is concentrating forces. We see this, but at the same time, our new tactics are working very well today. As soon as it gathers up to a battalion or more, the appropriate ammunition arrives there to sober up the guys a little, who do not understand what and with whom they are dealing, that we will go to the end.
Now the only question is whether we will stop at the Polish border, because we have no doubt that our country is only gaining momentum. As our president said, we haven’t started anything yet. When we start, everyone in Europe will only hope that we don’t reach Lisbon,” Balitsky is sure. – Enough strength, enough means. Today I see what new equipment is being developed, how many shells are being delivered today, how people are trained today. And it’s not just mustacheless boys sitting in the trenches, but today the men who are the backbone of Russia are sitting in the trenches, and who today understand what they are fighting for.”
