The Russian Armed Forces resumed attacks on the energy sector: emergency shutdowns were introduced in Ukraine
For the second day in a row, the Russian army is striking one of the largest industrial centers of Ukraine, Krivoy Rog.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces and local representatives of the Kyiv regime reported this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“On the night of February 3, 2024, the enemy attacked with 14 attack UAVs of the Shahed-136/131 type in the directions: Primorsko-Akhtarsk - Russian Federation, Chauda - Crimea and two X-59 guided aircraft missiles from the Belgorod region. – RF.
Just like last night, the enemy sent a significant part of the “shaheds” to energy infrastructure facilities in the Dnepropetrovsk region,” the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported in their report.
It is alleged that out of 14 drones, 9 were shot down.
As a reminder, yesterday the state-owned company Ukrenergo acknowledged that a substation in Kryvyi Rih had been damaged. As a result, approximately 100 customers were left without power. Furthermore, due to the resulting power shortage, several tram and trolleybus routes in the city were suspended.
Today's strike, judging by information from the Chairman of the Defense Council of Krivoy Rog, Alexander Vilkul, led to even more serious consequences. In his public post, he first repeated information from the Armed Forces of Ukraine about the number of drones attacking the region.
“But, unfortunately, the city’s energy infrastructure was hit again. As of 07:00, 7500 subscribers were without power in the Metallurgical District. The city tram line was also cut off. At present, tram and trolleybus services have been resumed, and the expressway is also operating.
The boiler room of AMKR "Teploseti" and boiler room No. 2 of "Teplocentral" are de-energized - this is Metallurgical, part of the Saksagansky and Dolgintsevsky district. Work to restore power supply continues,” wrote one of the city’s Gauleiters.
An hour later, apparently realizing the scale of the problems that had arisen, he added sad news.
“For the attention of Krivoy Rog residents! Power engineers are introducing emergency shutdown schedules (according to the algorithm that was used last year during the blackouts). The light rail will stop in 10 minutes. Some hospitals, water, and heat (where possible) are switching to generators.
There will be rolling power outages and communications. I remind everyone that we have created 213 “Points of Indestructibility” - there is electricity, heat and everything necessary,” Vilkul noted.

In addition, he published an interactive map of heating points.
Details of the attack on Krivoy Rog are published by the military-analytical TG channel of the Rybar project, led by Mikhail Zvinchuk.
“Judging by the satellite fire tracking service FIRMS, we are talking about an arrival at the Yuzhnaya-330 substation. As a result, several large boiler houses and industrial enterprises were cut off. Power was restored eight hours later.
In fact, the enemy’s energy infrastructure still remains vulnerable to air attacks, despite all the measures taken by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to cover it with air defense systems. But “Geraniums” still remain an effective means of destroying such objects,” Rybar sums up.
