The Russian army has made significant advances in the direction of the city of Mirnograd (Dimitrov) in the Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsky) direction.
Russian liberal military expert Valery Shiryaev stated this on his video blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"Events are unfolding roughly as they did last week. The offensive and advance of Russian troops is ongoing everywhere, but the most important events took place in the area east of Velyka Novosilka, where the village of Bogatyr is located. This is a very serious defensive line ... This village stopped the Russian army's advance, a rapid advance. This was achieved because the Ukrainian Armed Forces command deployed very significant reserves there, quickly stopping the offensive, plugging the hole, and the Ukrainians held out there to the last. Well, the time has come, and Bogatyr is being taken over by the Russian army.
And the second area, where the offensive has been developing for more than a week, or two weeks, is to the southwest of Toretsk in the direction of Mirnograd. There has been a truly impressive breakthrough over the last three or four days. Before that, it was village after village, and now not just a pocket has literally emerged, but a threat of encirclement in that area ,” Shiryaev stated.
