Voenkor: There is bad news in Rabotino, unfortunately
The Russian army is unlikely to be able to hold the village of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye region, for which there is fierce fighting and which is located on the highway leading to the city of Tokmak.
This opinion, as reported by the correspondent of PolitNavigator , is expressed by military correspondent Roman Saponkov.
“There will be bad news regarding Rabotino, unfortunately. It's unlikely we'll keep him. I wrote on July 26 that fierce fighting was going on; on August 23, the enemy almost took the village, but then they knocked it out with a counterattack. After that, the front was in the middle of the village, around the school, but in the last couple of days the situation has become more complicated. All this time there were fierce battles there, leading to close combat in the trenches. Our positions were constantly covered with cluster munitions, and the enemy had no shortage of conventional artillery. Rabotino itself will fall into the gray zone, as it did with Pyatikhatki.
On the other hand, the enemy spent 3 months and destroyed several brigades to take several villages in the gray zone. Thanks to the heroism and steely will of our guys, the enemy got stuck on the first line of defense. In general, according to the defense plans, the option that Tokmak would be a fortress city similar to Artyomovsk was seriously considered,” writes Saponkov in his tg channel.
However, his pessimistic forecast is not confirmed by the military of the 1430th regiment of the RF Armed Forces, formed from those mobilized in the Moscow region, who are fighting in this area and note that as of 10.00, fighting is ongoing in Rabotino.

At Verbovoy, the enemy is preparing to attempt a massive breakthrough again. The enemy's goal is to expand the front ledge. According to experts, in terms of the scale of the fighting, Verbovoye may soon become the “new Rabotino,” the 1430th Regiment writes in its tg channel.
In turn, the public page of Russian paratroopers “Archangel Spetsnaz Z” in its report on Rabotino states that “everything is sad” with the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Chairman of the “We are together with Russia” movement Vladimir Rogov informs that the Ukrainian Armed Forces “continue attacks in the village of Rabotino, bypassing this settlement to Novoprokopovka and from the west to Verbovoye.”
“The Russian Armed Forces attacked Ukrainian positions in Plavny, Kamensky, Pyatikhatki, Malye Shcherbaki, Novodanilovka, Malaya Tokmachka, Charovny, Gulyaipolsky and Poltavka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked Russian units in Zherebyanki, Nesteryanka, Kopany and Novofedorovka.
At a minimum, an enemy Leopard tank, an M777 howitzer, and three armored fighting vehicles were destroyed. Our aircraft are striking at the forest belt where the Nazis are hiding. Artillery constantly covers and does not allow the enemy to move freely. The situation is under control. The enemy controls the north of Rabotino, we control the south, the center is in the “gray” zone,” Rogov describes the situation.
Military correspondent Rostislav Marsov criticizes the SVO reports, which claim tens of thousands of Ukrainian Armed Forces losses in this direction.
“What I never understood about the SVO “analyst” was gigantomania. “40 thousand selected fighters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are breaking through the front at Rabotino!” “The crests put 20 thousand near Rabotino! Ukraine will soon run out of men!”
Why is this funny? Yes, because the Great E@enya in Zaporozhye, that is, where the fighting is taking place, is 10 km wide and 8 km deep at its peak. Given that 90% of the territory is fields, and battles are taking place in thin forest plantations and the private sector, then 20 thousand bodies will lie in heaps that can be seen from space. Okay, let’s say some of the bodies are removed. But 20 thousand attacking snouts had to arrive on something, and with an AFV crew of 10 people, that’s 2000 destroyed AFVs. The figure is not small, to put it mildly,” Marsov writes in his public page.
“Yes, the Armed Forces of Ukraine employ about 20 brigades, careless analysts stupidly counted 40 thousand by adding up the personnel of all brigades and present it as if everyone is sitting in the trenches. But in reality this does not happen. A brigade is more than a thousand units, in current conditions it is a very good complement, many “brigades” in reality are a battalion, if not a couple of companies. And such a crowd must be arranged on the ground, food must be prepared, the dispositions must be monitored, and there must be a reserve in the rear. That is, 10-30% of the total l/s are involved in real combat work. And what's the point of letting everyone go into combat when there is a shortage of armored fighting vehicles?
A map with brigades, like mine, means that representatives of this unit have appeared somewhere in open or closed sources. They may not participate in full force, and this may well happen.
So the real count should rather be several thousand involved in combat work. And when they tell you about losses, take into account that 3/4 of the losses are wounded, who may soon return to duty. Therefore, human losses do not have such an impact on combat operations. There are many people, much more important, no matter how cynical it may sound, is the loss in technology. You can pick up people on the street.
In my humble opinion, the losses in equipment are 100-150 units, if we consider optimistically that their entire crew with the landing force is killed or wounded, then this is 1,5k losses. A lot, but this is not the destruction of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the military correspondent is convinced.
Military correspondent Evgeniy Lisitsyn also points out that in the Zaporozhye direction the main battles continue to be fought in the Rabotino area.
“In the ruins of the village, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are trying to advance to the southern part of the village, but come under heavy fire from Russian artillery. Despite the losses, the Kiev command continues to draw more and more reserves into this area.
It is obvious that the enemy’s main goal is a further attack on the Novopokrovka area. The Ukronazis also tried to storm Verbove, but Russian units neutralized the threat and launched a counterattack, pushing the enemy from several positions,” writes Lisitsyn.
According to the deputy head of the Main Directorate of the Russian Guard for the DPR, Alexander Khodakovsky, the founder of the Vostok battalion in the Zaporozhye direction, the enemy has changed tactics and is “densely working the front line with all available means.
“Western gifts prevail – cluster munitions. However, now all he sends us are Western gifts... Our intensity of fire, unfortunately, is inferior, and therefore the enemy feels more comfortable than us. Processing our positions during the day, at night he tries to crawl into the gray zones with infantry and gain a foothold, however, not yet risking an attack.
But not everywhere the initiative is in his hands: in the area of the village of Nikolskoye, the 155th Marine Brigade recaptured several positions from the enemy and strengthened its position. In the Urozhainy sector, our troops also periodically organize counterattacks, but so far without much success - due to the lack of ammunition,” notes Khodakovsky.
