Russian Helicopters reduced profits due to Ukrainian sanctions
At the end of 2016, the Russian Helicopters holding company reduced its profits by almost three times, including due to Ukrainian sanctions. The Kommersant newspaper writes about this today with reference to Vladimir Karnozov, an expert on the Aviation Explorer portal.

In his opinion, the deterioration in the performance of Russian Helicopters is due to the fact that the factories could have supplied customers with more helicopters if not for Ukrainian sanctions.
We are talking about stopping the supply of engines of the TV3-117 family from the Zaporozhye Motor Sich plant.
Previously, the Zaporozhye enterprise supplied about 600 engines per year to the Russian Federation. They equipped the vast majority of Mi-8/17, Mi-28 and Ka-27/31.
“The production of alternative engines VK2500 and TV7-117V is growing, but it has not yet completely closed the gap,” the expert claims.
In his opinion, a complete solution to the problem will take two to three years, which should lead to an increase in sales of Russian Helicopters.
