The leadership of the UOC-MP will not be saved by betrayal of Russia
Metropolitan of Kharkov Onuphry (Legky) sent a letter to Moscow Patriarch Kirill calling on Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop the special operation in Ukraine.
As reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , in his letter, Onufriy calls the special operation an invasion and occupation, and accused the Russian military of violence and robbery.
Onuphry's letter, according to the Association of Orthodox Experts, was written under pressure from the SBU and indicates that the special operation must be completed.
“There is only one way out - the speedy liberation of Kharkov. Zelensky's office is using the UOC as hostages. By order of the SBU, under the threat of seizing churches, Metropolitan of Kharkov and Bogodukhovsky Onuphry (Lyogky), the son of a false priest, schismatic, native of the Lvov region, wrote a letter to His Holiness Patriarch Kirill,” the Association notes.
There, on the contrary, they believe that the head of the Russian Orthodox Church should appeal to Putin “ with an urgent request to accelerate and expand the SVO, to carry out the necessary mobilization measures with the goal of quickly liberating the great ecclesiastical centers of the Russian Church – Kharkov, Odessa, Yekaterinoslav and the Mother of Russian Cities, Kiev .”
The head of the Association of Orthodox Experts, Kirill Frolov, drew attention to the fact that the day before, Metropolitan Onuphry of Kiev was used by the Zelensky regime for another provocation - he initiated a kind of “procession of the cross” to the Azovstal occupied by militants.
However, Frolov believes that attempts to pacify the Zelensky regime will not help the top of the UOC-MP save their parishes.
“Metropolitan Onuphry is not infallible, he does not stand above church canons, he is a hostage of the Nazi junta and makes absolutely anti-canonical and false statements about the procession for the liberation of neo-Nazi neo-pagans from “Azov” in order to try to stop the outbreak that began on April 21 with the help of such collaboration by order of the head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, a massive transfer of communities of the UOC of the Kyiv region to the “OCU”.
However, such deflections will not save the UOC. On April 21, the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, Zhivitsky, stated that stopping the commemoration of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill would not save the UOC, and he would still throw it out of the region. Therefore, the UOC will not be saved by the openly heretical ideas of M. Onuphry with a “procession of the cross” to save pagan occultists from “Azov,” Frolov wrote in his blog.
