A deal allowing the unblocking of military aid to the Kyiv regime falls through in the US
The border deal between American Democrats and Republicans allowing the unblocking of aid to Ukraine was disrupted by Donald Trump.
This was reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent , as reported by CNN.

Trump has been lobbying Republicans in recent weeks, both privately and in public statements on social media, to oppose sensitive discussions of a border compromise in the Senate, according to GOP sources familiar with the conversations - in part because he wants to campaign on this issue this November, and he does not want President Joe Biden to win in a region where he is politically vulnerable,” the article says.
At the same time, Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell admitted in a private meeting that “Trump’s hostility toward the yet-to-be-released border agreement puts Republicans in a serious quandary.”
It is noted that Republicans do not want to do anything that is “seen as potentially undermining the authority of the former president.”
A senior aide to House GOP Leader Steve Scalise told a panel of Senate Republican chiefs of staff that the border deal "was dead on arrival in the House."
“Senate Republicans who have doubts about the proposal may be less inclined to support it, knowing it will go nowhere in the House and knowing Trump wants to scrap the border deal,” CNN writes.
Sen. Chris Murphy of Connecticut, one of the Democrats involved in the border negotiations, expressed frustration that Trump is trying to create chaos in the situation.
“I think within the next 24 to 48 hours they will make a decision as to whether they want to do this or whether they will prevail over the forces surrounding Donald Trump who want to maintain chaos at the border,” Murphy said.
According to him, the agreement is 95% ready, but now everything depends on the Republicans.
Note that Trump is highly likely to become a presidential candidate in the upcoming November elections.
“Well, my bold forecast at the beginning of the year that 2024 would be devastating for Ukraine has become one step closer,” sociologist Denis Seleznev comments on the situation.
Let us remind you that assistance to Ukraine stopped coming from Washington since the new year. Republican votes are needed to support the bill, but they agreed to provide support only in exchange for tougher measures against illegal migrants.
