They tried to blow up an Orthodox church in Simferopol

Crimean security forces discovered homemade explosives on the territory of the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God of Smolensk near the Simferopol airport.

This was stated in a blog post by activist Alexander Talipov, who claimed the explosive device was disguised as a beer can, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“According to the latest unofficial information, a homemade explosive device was found in a beer can in the church. Allegedly, the can was thrown onto the church grounds. Law enforcement officers are collecting information from CCTV cameras around this facility,” the statement says.
