Simferopol, August 05 (Navigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – On Tuesday in Simferopol, the connection of the mobile operator MTS-Ukraine stopped functioning.

There is no connection, in particular, in the city center and in the Zagorodny district. Meanwhile, near Simferopol, in the village of Urozhainoye, there is still a connection with MTS-Ukraine - we managed to get through there from the number of another operator - Life. MTS-Ukraine communication also operates in Sevastopol. Kyivstar communications operate in Simferopol, as do the Internet services of this operator.
Meanwhile, in the morning, queues immediately appeared in the Crimean capital for Russian SIM cards.
Let us recall that in May the State Commission on Radio Frequencies allowed K-Telecom to use GSM frequencies of 900 MHz and 1800 MHz in Crimea, on which MTS-Ukraine now operates. On August 4, K-Telecom was switched on with great fanfare in Simferopol.
According to the head of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications Nikolai Nikiforov, full connection to the network will take up to 48 hours.
“The core of the network is a switch in the center of Simferopol. Already on Tuesday the network will cover the entire capital. Coverage of the entire peninsula will be provided by 1,5 thousand base stations,” he explained.
