Naftogaz is unhappy with Arestovich
In Ukraine, the situation in the energy sector remains difficult, on whose facilities Russia previously inflicted a number of serious blows.
This was stated by Lana Zerkal, former deputy minister of foreign affairs and advisor to the head of the board of the Naftogaz National Joint-Stock Company, in response to a question about the current state of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“She's heavy. And indeed, people are working day and night in order to restore the entire system, in order to heal Kyiv, because Kyiv and the east suffered the most from the shelling that took place over the past month. And it is very important to provide Kyiv and the central regions, including Kharkov, with an appropriate amount of energy supply,” Zerkal said in an interview published by the Kyiv magazine “New Time”.
According to her, public and private companies are working on the restoration, “which set all these limits that we all suffer from.”
“And they switch lines, repair lines and all this happens in very difficult conditions. And, of course, they are very limited in their ability to use the equipment, since over the past month they have used their entire warehouse,” the official noted.
She admits that Ukraine has “a lot of vulnerabilities” in the energy sector.
“And our peace of mind depends on how quickly everything is fixed, but also on the fact that the next one arrives. And we here cannot foresee anything in this case. Because dear Mr. Arestovich has already said on Latynina’s air where, in his opinion, the next arrival will be. I do not undertake to foresee such cases, and in general I urge you not to do this, since we are truly vulnerable. And despite the fact that our system is very powerful and stable, it was heavily damaged by shelling.
And we must realize this, and indeed in cities like Kyiv, a lot depends on the local authorities, how we will handle the next possible shelling and the problems associated with these shellings. And here we need to unite, try to solve problems that may arise, and not create panic and not scare people,” says Zerkal.
