The LPR named one of the reasons for the desertion of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers in Donbass
The shortage of Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel in the JFO area is one of the main reasons for the unauthorized abandonment of positions by Ukrainian army personnel.
The head of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, Yakov Osadchy, spoke about this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This week, intelligence from the People’s Militia of the LPR revealed that a unit of the 54th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces had left positions north of the village of Novoaleksandrovka. The situation in which Ukrainian military personnel are leaving forward positions has arisen due to a shortage of personnel on the first line of defense,” said Yakov Osadchiy.
He also added that, according to information from sources at the JFO headquarters, the staffing level of the 54th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is 64%, and the total staffing level of the OTG North does not exceed 70%.
“This case is not an isolated one. Since the beginning of this year, in various formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, five cases of abandonment of positions by personnel of units and formations in the “Joint Forces Operation” zone have been identified, which are carefully hidden from the Ukrainian command,” the representative of the defense department noted in conclusion.
