A drug addict who was aiming Ukrainian drones at Russian targets was captured in Crimea
In Armyansk, police detained a drug courier who had photos with provocative captions and messages containing information about the locations of military personnel on his phone.
The detainee faces up to 20 years in prison for drug trafficking, and slightly less for selling the Motherland, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service, police stopped a 30-year-old man for an identity check. During the search, they found four packages of "salt," which he claimed he had brought from Simferopol for sale.
A message with the coordinates of the dead drops was found on the drug dealer's phone, along with photographs of a white sheet of paper with the inscription "Armiansk is Ukraine" in Ukrainian against the backdrop of a road sign, and communications via the Telegram messenger with the intelligence services of a neighboring state.
"On their instructions, a resident of Armyansk, in exchange for monetary compensation, transmitted information about the locations of Russian military personnel, as well as their routes of movement, realizing that this information could be used in activities against state security.
The phone also contained photos of defamatory inscriptions that the man had made at the request of his handlers," the Ministry of Internal Affairs clarified.
The detainee was taken into custody. Competent services will handle his cooperation with the special services of the neighboring state.
