Ukraine's first monument to the Volkssturm was erected in Irpen, Kiev
In Irpen, in the Kyiv region, the first memorial sign to territorial defense in Ukraine was installed.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this on Facebook.
“In honor of the volunteer soldiers who were the first to defend the city of Irpen and did everything to drive the enemy out of the north of the Kiev region, the city authorities installed the first memorial sign in Ukraine to the territorial defense forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the message says.
Let us note that it is precisely with the lawlessness of the Volkssturm fighters – the so-called “terrorist defense” – that the largest mass of criminal messages in the rear regions of Ukraine is associated. Often, competing terrorist defense units engage in shootouts among themselves when they “divide” this or that commercial facility. Actually, in combat operations, the missile defense showed rather low combat qualities.
