This was stated by Kiev political scientist Andrey Zolotarev on the air of the video blog of journalist Alexander Shelest, who is recognized as a foreign agent in Russia, a correspondent for PolitNavigator reports.
"As for fundraising, I can say it's fallen three to four times. This suggests not only moral and psychological exhaustion, but also a simple depletion of pocketbooks and financial resources among the vast majority of Ukrainians. This, of course, doesn't apply to those in Germany; they're prepared to fight for years to come . Because they're well-fed, safe, and only see war in patriotic Telegram channels and uplifting YouTube videos," Zolotarev said.
"And the Ukrainian countryside is suffering. For example, a village in the Dnipropetrovsk region has a population of 4500, but 45 dead. That's a lot for a single village and, in general, for Ukraine, which is so small. I believe the Ukrainian hinterland has suffered the most from this war, as they've raked over the mechanics and drivers. There are villages where you'll hardly find a man."
