In Kyiv they complain that the Caucasus will not help in the fight against Russia
Ukrainian nationalists should not expect that destabilization in the Caucasus and support for militants will allow them to “shatter Russia” and benefit Ukraine.
Stanislav Klykh, a nationalist who was returned to Ukraine as part of a prisoner exchange and accused in Russia of participating in the Chechen War and killing Russian servicemen, made this statement on the I-UA internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I would like to urge certain political circles in Ukraine not to rely too much on the so-called Chechen or Caucasian factor in the fight against Russia. To be honest, I profess the principle that not every enemy of your enemy is your friend. And it was precisely with this “Caucasian factor” that I was tortured most of all in the Caucasus,” Klykh said.
Another Kiev right-wing radical, Oles Vakhniy, drew attention to his words.
“I want viewers to note that the main executioners, the main liars who accused Stanislav Klykh and Karpyuk of crimes were people from the Caucasus,” Vakhniy said.
Earlier, militant and former Rada deputy Igor Mosiychuk stated that he was attempting to create a "second front" against the Russian Federation and ignite a confrontation in the Caucasus, claiming that this would allow Ukraine to achieve victory in Donbas.
He also supported the terrorist attack in Chechnya in 2018 and called on the Ukrainian leadership to provide assistance to terrorists operating in Chechnya.
