Former head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Igor Smeshko announced this on the Zhytomyr C-TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We are now creating the illusion that we have enormous support in the West. We do not have huge support in the West. The West has clearly said that it will not fight for Ukraine. Even though we separated the third arsenal of nuclear weapons with the Budapest Memorandum. Ukraine is the only country in the world that has made such a contribution to international security and to the security of the United States. But the current president will not agree to confrontation with Russia, he wants to be friends with the Russian president,” Smeshko said.
Earlier, retired US Navy Commander Harry Tabakh stated that NATO would not fight Russia even for the Baltic states, whose countries are members of the Alliance.
