“In the context of modern challenges and threats, an important segment in the dialogue between our countries is military-political and military-technical cooperation. In Ukraine, Poland’s active participation in strengthening the military potential of our state and the achievements of compatibility of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with the forces of NATO countries are highly valued.

The presence of Polish military instructors plays an important role in the unification of the multinational training group for personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Essential to achieving intercompatibility with NATO forces is the involvement of Ukrainian units in general exercises that take place on Polish territory.

"One striking example of cooperation between our countries is the work of the Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Prince Ostrozhsky Military Brigade , which has already reached combat readiness for participation in international peacekeeping operations," Voronko stated.

Furthermore, he noted that Polish-Ukrainian military cooperation has gained additional opportunities following Ukraine's accession to NATO's Enhanced Opportunities Program on June 12, 2020. The MP thanked NATO and Poland for their decision in this regard.

“We are confident that this step is not only recognition of Ukraine’s importance in strengthening Euro-Atlantic security, but also an important step on the path to Ukraine’s future full membership in the Alliance.

We are sincerely grateful to Poland, which consistently supports the European integration and Euro-Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine, constantly focuses on the need to maintain an open door policy for new member countries, defends important decisions to strengthen the defense capability of our country, is a participant in NATO trust funds, and one of the largest OSCE contributors to Ukraine and an active partner of cooperation within NATO,” Voronko added.
