An action against bribes in maternity hospitals took place in Kyiv
A protest demonstration against abuses in the capital’s maternity hospital No. 7 took place in the center of Kyiv. Participants carried posters “We demand certification of doctors of maternity hospital No. 7”, “White, stop killing children!” (Victoria Belaya is the head physician of maternity hospital No. 7), and they chanted: “Down with corrupt doctors!”, “Belaya, stop killing children!”

The organizers were women who had to give birth in this maternity hospital and their relatives.
“Many people had problems with maternity hospital No. 7. There they took bribes of 1000 euros to give birth well. Imagine - “you come to the maternity hospital, and there they tell you: give 100 euros, and you will give birth well!” We want our state to pay attention to maternity hospital No. 7 and other maternity hospitals where there is also corruption,” protest participant Olga told a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to her, women giving birth in other maternity hospitals in Kyiv also face similar problems.
