Kyiv is calling for people not to fall into euphoria over Magyar's victory in Hungary.
It is impossible to say with certainty whether the position of Péter Magyar, who won the Hungarian elections, will truly be so pro-European and pro-Ukrainian.
A Ukrainian political expert stated this in a commentary for Apostrophe. Valery Klochok, the correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
"Magyar in an effort to improve relations with Brusselswill likely unblock the provision of a 90 billion euro loan to Ukraine. However, the future prime minister stated during the election campaign that he was speaking out against the supply of Hungarian weapons or funds to Kyiv, as well as against accelerating the process of Ukraine's accession to the EU. “Therefore, I simply recommend not rushing into euphoria about Orban’s defeat,” advised Klochok.
