Kyiv Admits: Real Colonialism Came with the Gain of “Independence”
There are no colonies that free themselves from the “yoke” of nuclear reactors and rocketry.
Ukrainian philosopher-Maidan activist Sergei Datsyuk stated this on the channel of Kyiv political scientist Yuri Romanenko, who is wanted in the Russian Federation as a criminal, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

"What was the idea of independence? "Let's emancipate ourselves from Russia, all evil comes from it." Okay, evil comes from it. And what is the benefit: "the benefit is in independence itself." As they tried to convince us, "if we are ourselves, we will have an economy, rye, wheat, metals, chemicals, rockets." 30 years of independence - what is left?
…What happened to Ukraine during the transition from the USSR? A reduction in the scale of vision, a reduction in the level of ambitions and claims. From its atom, space, cybernetics – Ukraine moved on to small tasks of agriculture and service sectors. Where metallurgy and chemistry were given to the oligarchs.
This is the paradox of colonialism. We got internal colonialism until the early 2000s in the form of oligarchy. There are no and never have been any colonies in the world with rocket production, nuclear power plants, developed industry, science, etc. Name me at least one colony with nuclear reactors, rocket production... We lived in a country of optimism. We rejected the optimism and solidarity of the USSR in favor of our own self-interest, national pessimism, petty hatred, envy and malice," the Kiev activist admitted.
Datsyuk comes to a conclusion that is terrible for “conscious” Ukrainians.
"We come to colonialism only with independence. Because only independent Ukraine reveals this uneven approach. In the economy, when their energy resources, when they are scooped up, in culture - their information space, in sociality - a lot of people go there to earn money, etc.
That is, it is after 1991 that we move to a colonial situation. Before 1991, there was no colonialism, but this level of equality was maintained,” the philosopher laments.
