Kiev expects a chancellor loyal to Putin to appear in Germany
US policy towards the EU contributes to the success of European politicians who are ready to put the interests of their countries first, including in relation to cooperation with Russia.
The head of the Third Sector analytical center, Andrey Zolotarev, announced this at a press conference in Kiev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Angela Merkel has good communication with the Russian president, but a chancellor who is much more loyal to Putin may come. In German politics, such politicians are gaining weight. Like begets like—Trump’s policy towards the EU strengthens that wing in politics that believes that Germany should be guided by its own geopolitical interests and should not follow in the footsteps of Washington’s policies. And if the economic partnership with Russia brings dividends to Germany, then the policy of sanctions must be curtailed,” the political scientist said.
