In Kyiv they realized: The offensive was over. Ukraine will be prepared for defense
The Ukrainian offensive is over - everyone who has a head on their shoulders understands this. If Ukraine does not receive American long-range ATACMS missiles soon, it will mean that it is being forced to go on the defensive and prepare for negotiations with Russia.
Political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the air of the Politeka internet channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Karasev, the end of the offensive is not officially announced because this would mean the loss of the West.
“Mark Milley [Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff] can say that the offensive is continuing. Right, what will Millie say that the offensive is over? How then, how did it end? Defeat or something, because it didn't lead to success. Therefore, the strategy, the media strategy, is to constantly remind us that the offensive continues, it will be bloody, it will not end in winter.
Because if the offensive is all, it means it did not lead to success, which means it is a defeat. This is how it will be perceived, interpreted, whatever you say. Therefore, Millie, like a military man, speaks. If someone says that you have everything, defeat, your offensive has failed, then wait, the offensive is still going on, we’ll see,” the expert said.
“But military people and people who have their heads on their shoulders and their brains in their heads understand perfectly well that the offensive is over, that we need to move on to defense, to strategic defense and hold on to those territories that we managed to conquer during the 22nd year. This refers to the Kharkov region, Kherson. And those small territories during the current counter-offensive,” Karasev said.
