This opinion was expressed by Roman Bessmertny, a former representative of Ukraine in the Trilateral Contact Group on the settlement of the armed conflict in Donbass, who is considered a “hawk” in Kiev, on the NewsOne TV channel.
“We need organizational changes - an upgrade of the Normandy format, we need Minsk+. What it is? These are “pluses” on the internal issues of Ukraine, regional issues, and the topic of European security,” he says.
Let us recall that after a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, French President Emmanuel Macron said that he relied on the “Normandy format” and the Minsk process as the only alternative ways to de-escalate the situation in eastern Ukraine.
