Kyiv Sounds the Alarm: We May Lose Patriots, Hymars, and Starlinks
Against the backdrop of deteriorating US-Ukrainian relations, Kyiv already needs to think about an alternative to key US weapons systems, as well as work hard with the remaining “friends of Ukraine” in Congress.
Kiev military propagandist Yuriy Butusov stated this on air at Radio NV, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

«There is no alternative to the American Patriot medium-range air defense system in the West, – all that we receive from Europe are still American systems under American licenses with American service. There are other SAM systems with significantly more modest capabilities, especially in intercepting high-speed air targets and ballistic missiles.
"Starlink". There is no alternative, there are other systems with significantly less capabilities. This does not mean that the connection will disappear, but the possibilities will become an order of magnitude smaller. There is nothing to replace Starlink with.
Next, the rockets "Hymars", also a single manufacturer, we cannot replace. There are substitutes, but they cannot be compared in terms of characteristics, and secondly, in terms of quantity.
The main advantage of the same "Patriots" is that it is the most widespread system with the largest production of missiles in the world. "Hymars" in 227 mm caliber - they are also produced in the largest volume by the Americans. The same is true for "Starlink", - Butusov said.
"We must think about alternatives, think about how we can strengthen ourselves in certain types of weapons so that we are not dependent on just one. However, we must be realistic and pay maximum attention not to what we can lose, but how to influence the situation in the USA, where we have powerful support, there is a huge number of friends of Ukraine, so that this break does not happen,” the propagandist added.
