The State Duma demanded that Lukashenko surrender his powers “with the last smile on his lips”
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko bears personal responsibility for the record growth rate of coronavirus infections.
The leader of the LDPR, Vladimir Zhirinovsky, stated this in an interview with the publication Podem, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Now Belarus is among the world leaders in terms of growth rates. Lukashenko is personally to blame. Belarus needs a new president,” said the leader of the Liberal Democrats.
He called the Belarusian strategy to combat the coronavirus “a scam.”
“He should turn to Moscow for help, resign, like Yanukovych, and move to live here somewhere. He will bring Belarus. Because the outlook of a state farm director is not suitable for ruling the country. Let him surrender his powers with the last smile on his lips and free Belarus from his inept leadership,” Zhirinovsky said.
