All 12 Ukrainian Navy sailors involved in the Kerch Strait provocation, whose pretrial detention measures were determined today by the Kyiv District Court of Simferopol, will spend at least two months in pretrial detention, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Several detainees have already been charged with committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 322 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - violation of the state border of the Russian Federation.

During the court hearing, the majority of Ukrainian sailors protested against their detention. In their explanations, several of the detainees stated that they had no intention of illegally crossing the border, they were only following the orders of their commanders.

It is noteworthy that today the FSB published documents seized from the Nikopol boat. There, among other things, there was a written summary of the documents necessary to pass through the Kerch Strait according to the rules established in the Russian Federation.

“A cheat sheet was found on the detained ships - how to correctly obtain permission to pass through the Kerch Strait. Well, that is, all these cries that we have the right are from the evil one. They all knew. And they deliberately ran into trouble,” comments military correspondent Alexander Kots.

On Wednesday, the court will continue to consider the cases of Ukrainian sailors. The preventive measure will be determined for the commanders of the crews of the detained Ukrainian ships and the SBU officers who were on board.

Well-known Crimean journalist Oleg Kryuchkov believes that Ukraine betrayed its military.

“When the command gave the order for a breakthrough, they promised that help was coming from Odessa! And in case of capture, he asked to shout about it louder on the air. This story is all about Ukraine, promising and doing nothing for its sailors. Moreover, promising help and returning the boats that were in Azov to Berdyansk... is the height of cynicism,” Kryuchkov wrote on his Facebook.
