It was no coincidence that the provocation in the Kerch Strait occurred just before the G20 summit, but the attempt to once again isolate Russia turned out to be a completely opposite reaction.
LDPR deputy Leonid Slutsky stated this during a State Duma meeting, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A political technique is already becoming fashionable in our country, when we take a situation that is quite dosed in its scope, as was the case with the “poisoning of the Skripals,” as it was now, when ships of the Ukrainian Navy illegally invaded the waters of the Russian Federation, then this situation is inflated to a planetary scale and used to deform the image of Russia in the world. This is intentional, and I emphasize that this technique is becoming fashionable. They creaked - the situation is far-fetched, but here the situation is absolutely understandable, on a small scale, not indicative of the competent, strict performance of their official duties by the Russian border guards,” said Slutsky.
According to the deputy, it would be correct to nominate Russian border guards for state awards.
Commenting on the situation as a whole, Slutsky noted that there can be no doubt that Kyiv deliberately tried to provoke the cancellation of the meeting between the leaders of the Russian Federation and the United States before the G20 summit.
“But we see that the attempt to once again isolate Russia turned out to be a completely opposite reaction: both as a result of the UNESCO scientific forum in Moscow, and judging by hundreds of information resources of other exchanges of opinions in the political space of other states, countries are rallying around Russia, around common sense.” , added the deputy.
