Akhmetov’s TV channel was switched off in Donetsk
Donetsk, April 28 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The Donbass TV channel, belonging to the SCM group of companies of Rinat Akhmetov, has become unavailable in the digital broadcasting package, as well as partially in analogue and cable broadcasting in the Donetsk region.

“The channel’s technical specialists are doing everything to restore full-fledged broadcasting. At the moment, the broadcast of the Donbass TV channel in the Donetsk region is partially available in analogue and cable broadcasting, as well as in online broadcasting, including the Ustream service,” the press service of the TV channel reports.
Broadcasting of the Donbass TV channel in the Lugansk, Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions as of the evening of April 28 is carried out as usual.
As Navigator reported, yesterday participants in a rally for holding a referendum demanded that the management of the Donetsk television center turn off Ukrainian television channels and turn on Russian ones. Today we received information that in some areas of Donetsk the broadcasting of local TV channels and “Channel 5” has been switched off. Network users also reported that the Rossiya 24 rebroadcast was turned on.
