Stalkers detained in the Chernobyl zone
In the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, the police discovered and detained two groups of stackers in the amount of 5 people from the Kyiv, Cherkasy and Odessa regions, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the Communications Department of the GUNP in the Kyiv region.

“During the day, police officers from the Chernobyl nuclear power plant zone near the village of Cherevach discovered three stalkers aged 21, 26 and 29, two of whom were residents of the Kyiv region, the third person was a resident of the Cherkasy region. A little later, police detained a second group of tourists aged 20 and 21, who turned out to be residents of Kyiv and Odessa,” the report says.
As the police noted, administrative protocols have been drawn up against the offenders under Art. 46-1 (violation of the requirements of the radiation safety regime in areas exposed to radioactive contamination) of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offences. They face punishment in the form of a fine of 20 to 30 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens.
Law enforcement officials warn that, in addition to radiation pollution, fans of extreme travel also risk being left alone with dangerous wild animals, and these are brown bears, lynxes, wolves, and reptiles.
During October 23, police in the Kyiv region detained nine stalkers.
