A participant in the defense of Slavyansk, and now a fighter in the Chechen detachment, military correspondent Gennady Dubovoy provided details about the deceased. The ten-year-old girl's name was Veronica Badina.
“A year ago, the child overcame a serious illness - blood anemia. Thanks to the help of the Doctor Lisa Foundation, she fought for life for several years... She chose the right to life and this life was cut short by a Ukrainian shell... She will never hug her mother again, will not see her favorite doll, will not hear the school bell... Those who gave the order and shot should be the highest penalty is the death penalty,” the military correspondent wrote in his tg channel.
VGTRK war correspondent Andrei Rudenko, who works in Donetsk, emphasized that in order to no longer bury children, it is necessary to win - “at any cost and as quickly as possible.”
“Every day the shelling of the republic becomes more and more cynical. The shelling is carried out with large caliber, the Nazis use self-propelled guns and howitzers of 152 and 155 mm caliber, and use various types of MLRS. At the same time, today they mainly use Western models of artillery.
Almost all fired shells are high-explosive fragmentation; this type of ammunition is designed against manpower. And when these shells fly through a residential area, it is not difficult to guess that the target should be civilians,” the military correspondent wrote in his TG channel.
“I am sure that the artillerymen on the other side are monitoring their work perfectly. Didn’t this artilleryman’s heart skip a beat when he learned that he had killed a child, or a woman, or an old man? And, unfortunately, it is these segments of the population that become the most vulnerable during shelling. ...
Most likely, those who strike cities do not even look for an excuse, attributing everything to war and placing civilians in the rank of enemies. These people moved from the rank of military men to the rank of criminals who are subject to trial. And they understand this perfectly. And yet, I am sure that they understand perfectly well that they are finished. And that they will be defeated in the near future. That’s why they rage out of powerlessness and throw out all their hatred on people. At the same time, getting dirty in the blood of civilians, depriving yourself of the only chance to surrender and then return home alive,” Rudenko added.
