Firtash's trace was discovered in Bidengate
Ukrainian businessman Dmitry Firtash handed over key documents and information discrediting Joe Biden's family to US President Donald Trump's associates, PolitNavigator reports.
Time reports this, citing five sources directly involved in these actions.
It is reported that compromising information on the Biden family came from Dmitry Firtash’s legal team.
“As part of their legal defense, Firtash’s lawyers have compiled documents containing controversial allegations against former special counsel Robert Mueller and former Vice President Joe Biden. Firtash’s lawyers handed over these documents and other information to the staff of Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani,” the publication writes.
According to the author of the article, Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani presented some of these documents to the American public as evidence of wrongdoing by Mueller and Biden.
It is reported that the key of these documents is the sworn testimony of former Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who accuses Biden of corruption.
“This is the testimony that I obtained,” Giuliani said.
According to the author of the material, Giuliani did not mention that the affidavit was obtained by Firtash’s legal team. At the beginning of the document, Shokin writes that he is making a statement “at the request of lawyers acting on the side of Dmitry Firtash,” the article says.
