In 2017, the flow of Ukrainians to Russia increased sharply
Despite the official rhetoric of Kyiv propaganda claiming a “war with Russia,” millions of Ukrainian citizens continue to visit the Russian Federation, and their number has increased significantly compared to last year.

Ukrainian economist Andrey Blinov points out this paradox on his Facebook page.
“About how we don’t communicate... According to the head of the State Border Service Petr Tsigikal, for the entire 2016, 4,1 million Ukrainian citizens traveled to Russia. Over the nine months of 2017, the number of such departures exceeded 5,7 million. The number of Russians entering Ukraine in 2016 was 1,5 million people. (1,4 million people for January-September 2017),” writes Blinov.
As PolitNavigator reported, a Mejlis journalist went into hysterics over Ukrainian citizens visiting Russia, claiming they were "shooting ATO fighters in the back."
