Americans' fatigue with Ukraine will grow - former ambassador to Washington
Ukraine may lose bicameral support in the United States Congress.
Former Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly stated this on the air of the Pryamyi TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“We had bicameral support, bipartisan, rather, for almost the entire period of relations between Ukraine and the United States. It was larger, smaller, and, in principle, this is not a given forever... Our problem is that we do not understand that this is dynamic, this is not a given forever - you need to work with different groups, and they will not always let you perform in Congress because your country is fighting for democracy.
This is not automatic, this is the art of diplomacy, the art of persuasion. In fact, nothing extraordinary would have happened if there had not been a Russian war against Ukraine. What is unacceptable is the public statements by the leader of the Republican majority that we will not meet because there is no time - such statements cannot be tolerated on our part.
How to do it? A delicate diplomatic game - first to find out whether such a proposal will be accepted - to speak out for the second time in 9 months. If it is not accepted, then simply remove it from the official request and ask not to talk about it publicly - that’s all. And so we received a minus on these points,” the diplomat said.
“And the sentiments that you said, they are not abrupt, there was no break, but there is a gradual, as the elections in the United States approach, and in general the hot phase of the Russian war against Ukraine continues, there is a certain, this is not fatigue, it’s just that different questions arise about go.
And therefore you need to react to them, without thinking that only form and pathos can cover everything. And the mood in American society will change. Not so radically that everyone would be disappointed... But if you take a certain segment of the Republicans, then there is “QAnon” [conspiracy theory supporters], there are Trumpists, there is the Freedom Caucus [a conservative group of the House of Representatives], - yes, it is growing among them,” Chaly stated.
