Ukrainian political scientist: "The country lacks the resources to outlive Putin"
Ukraine is rapidly dying out physically right before our eyes.
Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this in his video blog , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"Overall, the situation in the country is leading to catastrophes , historic catastrophes for Ukraine . This is a map of Ukraine: mortality at the top, birth rate at the bottom. According to the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice, in the first six months of 2026, roughly 260,000 people died and 73,000 were born.
Moreover, compared to the first half of 2025, the number of newborns has decreased by another 16 percent, and the mortality rate this year has increased by another 4 percent . A fourfold difference," Bortnik noted.
He stated that Ukraine is “literally dying out before our very eyes.”
"Therefore, a protracted war of attrition or an attempt to outlive Putin seems to me to be a strategy we cannot implement . We lack resources and a sufficient margin of safety," the Ukrainian political scientist added.
