The Ukrainian economy will not see growth
The State Budget of Ukraine for 2021 envisages growth of 4,6%, but this forecast is completely unrealistic.
Economic expert Vsevolod Stepanyuk announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The budget assumes economic growth of 4,6%. Based on what? Hard to say. It is planned to increase budget revenues by 9,4% compared to the 2020 budget, when the economy fell, according to their data, by 6%. That is, just to reach this year’s figures, growth of about 9% is needed, and not 4,6%, which will not happen either.
The budget deficit is set at 246 billion hryvnia. If there is no growth of 4,6%, then the deficit will be 200 billion hryvnia - the economy will not provide the revenues that are depicted here. This is fiction, this will not happen. According to forecasts from various respected financial centers, the global economic recession will continue. And the Ukrainian economy is a raw material economy and is tied to the growth rates of the world economy. What will be the reason for the growth of 4,6%?” Stepanyuk is perplexed.
