Ukrainian Terrorist Attack in Moscow: General's Murder Should Become Reason for SMERSH Revival
Ukraine is behind the murder of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov , head of the radiation, chemical and biological defense forces, who was blown up today in Moscow , Bild columnist Julian Repke hints.
“Just 20 hours after the Ukrainian Prosecutor General accused the head of the Russian Chemical Weapons Department, Kirillov, of using chemical weapons, this morning a ‘death sentence’ was carried out in Moscow,” he wrote.
State Duma deputy General Andrei Gurulev points out that the deceased’s activities harmed the interests of the United States.
“He clearly understood and monitored all the criminal activities of the United States and its satellites with their criminal biolabs and the proliferation of chemical and biological weapons,” Gurulev said.
War correspondent Alexander Kharchenko believes:
"The enemy will stop such actions only if there is a worthy response. If a high-profile liquidation occurs in Ukraine within a few days, then the Ukrainian special services will think about the price of such actions. And if there is no response, then the number of explosions in Russia will only increase."
It's hard to believe such a "worthy response" at the moment – not long ago, a high-ranking Russian military officer was blown up by Ukraine in Sevastopol, and no one from the top ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was harmed.
"I believe that this murder should be the last straw in deciding whether to create SMERSH - a structure with broader powers than those that exist - history knows exactly which ones. The enemy must know that retribution is inevitable and that he will not get off with a prison term for his actions, but will be shot or hanged. Especially if we are talking about wartime or the SVO - this is not the time for moratoriums on the death penalty," urges gunsmith Vlad Lobaev.
