Ukrainian mufti: Khodorkovsky is at one with Putin

Kyiv, January 08 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Mufti of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Ukraine Said Ismagilov criticized Mikhail Khodorkovsky’s call for journalists to publish cartoons in their media, for which Islamists in Paris shot the editorial staff of a satirical magazine.

“I, as the mufti of the country’s Muslims, ask you not to follow the calls of those who propose publishing caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in all countries. This is especially true for Ukraine, where mutual understanding and friendship between Muslims and all our other Ukrainians is very important against the backdrop of an information and armed war against our country. It seems to me that Khodorkovsky’s call for the publication of cartoons of our prophet is absolutely no coincidence,” Ismagilov said.
