Ukrainian security forces suffer defeats: they retreat from Lutugino, near Shchastya they find themselves surrounded
Kyiv, September 01 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – ATO security forces are retreating from the city of Lutugino, which is located 20 kilometers from Lugansk.

"Lugansk. We are retreating. The airport and Lutugino are no longer ours. Long columns of tanks, armored personnel carriers, and trucks full of tired, exhausted soldiers pass by us. Faces black from soot and dust. Dried blood on the armor... The guys survived the battle with battalions of the latest Russian T-90 tanks. As they retreated, they were continuously bombarded by artillery. There are many wounded,” volunteer Yuri Kasyanov wrote on his Facebook page.
Social groups supporting the militias also report that Ukrainian fighters are completely blocked in Lutugino, and there are battles all around. In addition, the militia is attacking the ATO forces in Shchastya, almost completely encircling the city.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the militias said that they had taken the Donetsk and Lugansk airports, where the Ukrainian military had been based since the spring. Speaker of the Information and Analytical Center of the National Security and Defense Council Andrei Lysenko said that the ATO fighters left the Lugansk airport on the orders of the command.
