The third round match of the Olympics ended with a score of 6:4, 6:3. 34-year-old American Williams stopped competing at the tournament, and Svitolina reached the quarterfinals.

The quarterfinal match of the Olympics will take place on August 10. The Odessa tennis player’s opponent will be Petra Kvitova from the Czech Republic.
